When the tube-type oil cooler leaks when it is used, you can feel the unevenness or cracks when you touch it with your hands. This indicates that the casing has become thinner and caused leakage. There are several reasons for the leakage of the thin shell or crack:
1. Firstly, expansion and welding are used between the condensing tube and the tube sheet of the tubular oil cooler. Generally, the inlet gas temperature can reach 170 degrees Celsius, while the cooling water temperature is below 30 degrees Celsius, and the temperature difference is large. Because the material of the heat exchange tube and the shell are different, the thermal expansion coefficient is different, and the temperature difference stress is large, it will easily cause the heat exchange tube to become thin. Over time, the thinned place will rupture and then leak.
2. The water vapor content at the gas inlet is very high, the gas velocity is high, and the temperature is high, it will directly flush the pipeline. Once the gas is rapidly cooled, the wall temperature of the tube head portion is relatively high, and the cooling water will evaporate violently in the gap between the tube heads, which will cause the tube to become thinner and leak. When using oxidizing nitrogen gas, the temperature will drop once it enters the oil tube type oil cooler, and condensed acid will be generated, and the generated condensed acid will be relatively high at the inlet temperature, which will corrode stainless steel. If there is a leakage phenomenon in the tube, it is easy for the oxidized nitrogen to enter the circulating water. Once it enters the circulating water, dilute nitric acid will be produced, which will corrode the carbon steel shell and the composite tube sheet, and will accelerate the cracking of the tube.
1. Firstly, the temperature at the inlet should be reduced, the pipeline at the inlet should be removed, two welding jackets should be used, and the circulating water should be selected when cooling. This can reduce the inlet temperature by 8 degrees Celsius and reduce stress;
2. Secondly, it can also eliminate part of the stress, that is, increase the expansion joint in the equipment barrel; finally, the expansion and welding used between the condensing tube and the tube sheet of the oil cooler can be directly selected for welding, which is beneficial to eliminate the expansion stress . For the problem of Cl-corrosion, it can be taken to reduce the concentration of Cl- in the circulating water to reduce the Cl-corrosion.
